Adele Makes History As New Album Sells 2.3 Million Copies In Just Three Days!

Yes, Adele's first album in four years, 25,has sold a whopping 2.3 million copies in the U.S. in just three days, according to Billboard and Nielsen Music. That's huge and it hasn't even been out for a full week! Once the week wraps, the album is expected to sell nearly three million copies, more than any album in history.

Adele will top *NSYNC's previous single-week record from 2000, when the pop stars moved 2.4 million copies of No Strings Attached.

"Adele's album is not just slipping by*NSYNC's record it's going to destroy it."
David Bakula, Nielsen Entertainment's senior vice president of industry insights,
told The Los Angeles Times on Monday. That's bad news for Justin Bieber, whose
new album, Purpose, had just scored the year's biggest first-week sales, selling
649,000 units -- before, of course, Adele took over the world (and our hearts). By comparison, Adele's last album, 21, sold
352,000 in its first week.

The media blitz surrounding 25 surely didn't hurt!
