It's over for Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez.
The 49-year-old actress has filed for divorce from the French actor after two years of marriage, E! News confirms. The couple, who wed in July 2013, have one child together, 2-year-old Maceo.
"It is with a heavy heart that we have come to the decision to divorce," Berry and Martinez tell E! News in a statement. "We move forward with love and respect for one another and the shared focus of what is best for our son. We wish each other nothing but happiness in life and we hope that you respect our and, most importantly, our children's privacy as we go through this difficult period."
According to TMZ, which first reported the split, the Oscar winner cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split and the soon-to-be ex-spouses have a prenup.
Berry has been photographed in recent months without her wedding ring. Amid rumors of a split, a source told E! News that Berry had not worn her ring since she lost it in Mexico for the Acapulco Film Festival back in January 2014, adding that there was "maybe" a replacement but it didn't work.
In July, the actress also seemingly forgot about her second wedding anniversary and was reminded of the day in an interview with E! News.
"Thank you for reminding me," she said while promoting her CBS show, Extant. "I gotta get something fast. I gotta get something fast."
She added, "Wow, two years. That's big for me."
